The day has come and Blakey is on the move. It's more of a military low crawl (I think she gets that from her father), but nonetheless....the girl is mobile. Not only is she finding her way around the house, she is now standing up in her crib. The standing has led to screaming at the top of her lungs since she has not yet figured out how to sit back down. Trust me, that will about scare the living day lights out of you at 3 am! That's why I make Jesse jump up and check on her=)
My floors now have never been so clean. The girl can find any spec and put it in her mouth. It can be on the other side of the room and she will make a low-crawl beeline for it. But don't get in her way, the girl has some spunk to her ( 3 wonderful teachers to show her how to holler). She is trying to teach those big brothers of hers that it is not funny to take her toy as she instantly cries. The boys, of course, thinks it is the funniest thing ever to take a toy from a baby; meanwhile Taylor goes into major Mama protection mode of her sister. Between the dog finding random things to leave chewed up around the house and the mass wave of destruction from the keepers of this home, this Big Mama (which Gavin brought that name back to life....especially at preschool drop-off, "Bye Big Mama!) is constantly picking up the next thing that will end up in the baby or puppy's mouth.
Blake's little voice of , "Mama Mama" is the sweetest and she is starting to wave goodbye or hi. There is lots of "Daddaa, Daddaa", but she still shows Daddy that she's mad when he walks in the door right before she goes to bed. Her version of getting mad at him is not looking at him. She will avoid eye contact with all her might until Daddy gets her in full giggles!
